First: fly to Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH). Take a taxi (or Uber or FREE NOW app) to the Port of Rafina (30 minute ride).

Second: travel by ferry from the Port of Rafina, in Athens, to Andros Gavrio Port. There isn't an airport on Andros!

There are multiple ferry departures everyday. The ferry ride will range from 1-2 hours depending type of ferry. Andros will always be the first stop!

AllAboutTravel is also negotiating special rates for ferry tickets to and from the island. Times and schedules to be specified at a later date.

What to Expect on the Ferry: you'll wait in the loading zone before boarding. When you get on the ferry, you'll store your luggage and an attendant will scan your ticket. At this point, you're free to walk around/sit in the lounge. No need to worry about your bags. The crew doesn't let anyone near them once the ship starts moving.

Car Rentals: we recommend that you rent a car to get around the island at your leisure. You can rent a car in Andros (LINK HERE) when you arrive OR from Athens International Airport. If the later, you'll need to buy an additional ferry ticket for your car. Please contact Maria Loumou (AllAboutTravel) for any help booking a car rental.

Travel from Andros Gavrio Port to Town/Hotel: if you don't rent a car, please contact Maria Loumou (AllAboutTravel) to arrange transportation from Port to town/hotel.

Taxis: there aren't many taxis on the island so we recommend booking taxis early (Chora Taxi Station Phoneline: +30 2282 0 22171), organizing via your hotel or contacting Maria Loumou (AllAboutTravel).
